As the owner of persnickety, Nancy chooses unique and exquisite furniture and accessory pieces for the 9,000 sq. ft. showroom. Previously, Nancy owned a wall paper and interior design studio in Dallas before working as an oncology nurse practitioner for more than twenty years. With a talented team and five on-staff designers, Nancy says that this stage of persnickety is "just the beginning."

Fun, eclectic pieces are Barbara Hooks’ passion. With more than 38 years of residential, commercial and showroom design experience, Barbara has a keen eye for unique one-of-a-kind pieces. According to Barbara, you can “give a face lift to any room with just a few pieces.” When she’s not working with customers of per∙snick∙et∙y, Barbara can be found at her mountain cabin, canoeing, riding horses or with family.

With more than twenty years in the industry, Shane Phillips is a seasoned designer with a discerning eye. After spending years designing furniture showrooms at the High Point Furniture Market and successfully running his own business, Shane’s Collection, Shane is bringing his talents to the persnickety clientele. With a passion for great finds and fashion, Shane is always up on the latest trends. His tip to customers – always look up, and always look down; you never know what you are going to find at per∙snick∙et∙y!

With a background in cosmetology and as a book illustrator, Kristan Garner isn’t your typical Retail Sales Associate. Kristan uses her natural talent to guide customers to the right piece at per∙snick∙et∙y. Just as illustrations in a book represent a storyline; Kristan understands that furniture and accessories tell a narrative of an individual’s unique style.

Hobbies that turn into professions are the best jobs. That’s how Beverly Boyd started in the furniture and design industry. Her friends and family were the first to see her natural talent as she helped them bring their interior design vision to life. Now, Beverly helps customers of per∙snick∙et∙y select just the right piece. Beverly has an extensive background in human resources and enjoys cooking, reading, church activities and writing poetry.

Janice Hughes loves working with people to create their ideal environment; their happy place! With more than 25 years in design, Janice learned her trade the best way – by practical experience. She proclaims her involvement with persnickety is due to their friendly atmosphere and wonderful variety of furniture, gifts and accessories. In her free time, Janice enjoys knitting, hiking and spending time with her six granddaughters.
